Privacy Policy

Scan does not collect, transmit, sell, or use your personal data for tracking or advertising.

Documents are captured and processed on your device. Scan does not require an account and does not include analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking software.

• Camera: used only when you choose to scan a document through Apple’s document-scanning interface.
• Document storage: scans and generated thumbnails are stored in the app’s private storage on your iPhone.
• Sharing: a document leaves the app only when you choose an export option and select a destination in the iOS share sheet.
• Preferences: display choices such as Color or B&W are stored locally on your device.
• Deletion: deleting a scan removes its files from the app. Deleting the app removes its local data, apart from copies you previously exported or retained through device backups you control.

This policy applies equally to all users, including children. Effective September 20, 2026.

Support

If Scan is not behaving as expected, try these steps:

• Confirm camera access is enabled in iPhone Settings under Privacy & Security → Camera.
• Make sure the iPhone has enough free storage for the documents you are scanning or exporting.
• For a clearer scan, use even lighting and hold the iPhone parallel to the page.
• If an export destination does not appear, confirm its app is installed and enabled in the iOS share sheet.
